PDT Game Day- This is our School Performance Team made up of our JV & Varsity dancers.
Members are made up of Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors. The dance style will be focused on Pom, Jazz Funk and Hip Hop. The season runs from mid-August through the end of the football season. Game Day Team will be selected in June. Summer training, camps, and team bonding will be optional before first required practice on August |
PDT Varsity- This is our Competition team.
Members are made up of Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. This team is also part of PDT Game Day during the Fall sports season. The season runs from Game Day through the first weekend of Spring Break. The PDT Competition team competes at DDCA Category Competitions, the Traditional Dance season including OSAA State Competition and possible National level competition. This group is made up of Varsity level athletes. The dance style is pom, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. |
There will be one tryout on June 4th, 2022. Based on scores, the judges and head coach will divide the team based on overall scores into Varsity and JV.
The following skills will be evaluated at tryouts. Skills will be evaluated on the right and left side. Dancers will receive scores ONLY on the right and the judges will make note of technical ability on the left.

Double Coupe Turn

Tilt Kick
Leg Hold

Split Leap/Middle Leap

In addition to these skills each member should have at least one specialty skill. Examples could be a back walkover, switch leap, needle, aerial, unique movement etc. There will be an opportunity during improv (before combination) to demonstrate your preferred specialty skill.
